Description
Hand harvested fruit from Clone 95 and Clone 548 Chardonnay vines in our “Tin Shed” vineyard on 125 Gimblett Road was gently pressed and the juice fermented in a brand new 500-litre French oak puncheons. Tantalising aromas of ripe stonefruit and citrus blossom are complemented by complex hints of toasted spices, roasted nuts, vanilla and nougat. The wine is rich and full in the mouth yet remains tight and composed with superb persistence and length of flavour. Pristine stone fruit flavours combined with cedary/toasty oak, a gently drying texture and a fine thread of tangy acidity coalesce to a long, salivating finish. A sublime Chardonnay of class and refinement that will keep you engrossed till the very last drop. Drink 2021 to 2031
