About the Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay 2021:
Aromas of white peaches, grapefruit and citrus blossom are complemented by hints of sweet spices, vanilla, and toasted nuts. The wine is concentrated in the mouth yet remains fresh and vibrant thanks to a fine thread of natural acidity. Spicy/toasty oak flavours and gently drying tannins impart savoury complexity and tension on the palate, which finishes crisp, tangy, and dry with lingering citrus and spice flavours. A superb wine of balance, concentration and finesse that are the hallmarks of Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay.
About the Gimblett Gravels Syrah 2021:
Captivating florals, perfumed aromas of ripe blackberries and raspberries, savoury spice, liquorice, and Provençal herbs come together on a concentrated, silky, and succulent palate with a lingering, spicy finish. An outstanding Gimblett Gravels Syrah that will develop complex mineral, gamey characters with age. A superb match with full flavoured red meat dishes and game.
About the Gimblett Gravels Tempranillo 2021:
The 2021 Gimblett Gravels Tempranillo delivers the richness, generosity, and structure one expects from the variety. Attractive raspberry/blackberry aromas, along with liquorice, sweet spices, and dark chocolate, lead to a palate crammed with red/black fruit flavours. Tannins, with the consistency of cocoa powder, and vibrant acidity, contribute a mouthcoating texture and juiciness to the palate, which finishes long, succulent, and refreshing. This wine can be enjoyed in its youth, but it will age well for at least ten years. Red meat or pork would be an ideal match as well as traditional Tapas-style dishes.
About the Gimblett Gravels The Gimblett 2021:
A creative blend of 50% Cabernet Franc, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. Since 2005, “The Gimblett” has typically been a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec, in varying proportions, depending on the strengths of the vintage. Thanks to a favourable growing season, the 2021 release is made almost entirely from the Cabernet family, with a small amount of Petit Verdot adding further complexity and interest.
