October 18th, 2022: Local Hawke’s Bay Winery Trinity Hill has had an incredible fortnight, after being awarded 10 Gold Medals for eight different wines at two highly regarded New Zealand wine shows; the Hawke’s Bay Bayleys Wine Awards 2022 and the New Zealand International Wine Show 2022.
The eight winning wines from Trinity Hill’s three major tiers, the Hawke’s Bay, Gimblett Gravels and Single Vineyard ranges, vary in price from $25 to $120 a bottle, showcasing the breadth of skill of Trinity Hill’s winemaking and viticulture team, and their ability to produce wines for serious collectors as well as general consumers. Along with the Gimblett Gravels Tempranillo, Trinity Hill’s Hawke’s Bay ‘The Trinity’ Red Blend 2021 was awarded Gold at both shows, a strong result for a food friendly wine that retails for $25. Rebecca Poynter, Trinity Hill CEO notes, “We are delighted with the number of gold medals we received in these two shows. They represent a good spread of wines Trinity Hill produces; these being Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo and Chardonnay along with our “Trinity” Bordeaux blend, from all three of our ranges.”
Trinity Hill’s Chief Winemaker Warren Gibson also comments, “The recent excellent results for Trinity Hill Wines at the New Zealand International Wine Show 2022, combined with the hugely successful showing at 2022 Hawke’s Bay A&P Bayleys Wine Awards, confirms the strength of recent Hawke’s Bay vintages coming together with the ongoing hard work in the Trinity Hill vineyards and winery. A combined total of ten gold medals; has there ever been a better time to enjoy Trinity Hill wines?”
