August 5th 2024: Trinity Hill is pleased to share they have been awarded with ‘Best in Red’, two ‘Best in Class’ titles as well as receiving four Gold Medals and six Silver Medals at the Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition 2024.

In a testament to the winery’s long-standing commitment to producing quality Syrah, Trinity Hill is honoured to take out the ‘Best in Red’ award for their Single Vineyard Gimblett Estate Syrah 2021. Trinity Hill was also thrilled to see recognition across all three of their wine ranges with their Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2021 taking home a Gold Medal and their Gimblett Gravels Syrah receiving a Silver Medal. “Receiving this recognition across diverse price points is a testament to our team’s expertise and commitment to producing excellent wines that cater to a range of occasions, preferences and budgets,” says Chief Winemaker Warren Gibson.

Trinity Hill’s Gimblett Gravels Tempranillo 2022 was another star of the show, taking home the ‘Best in Class’ for Emerging Red Wines. Tempranillo is the most popular grape variety in Spain where over 200,000 hectares are planted. Here in New Zealand, only a tiny amount is grown, most successfully in Hawke’s Bay where the warmth enables it to properly ripen.
